How do I message a number I haven’t saved?

Help

Chat by number opens a WhatsApp chat with any number, without adding it to your contacts.

  1. Click the dial pad icon (Chat by number) in the chat list’s top bar.
  2. Paste the number with + and the country code, or pick a country first and enter the local number.
  3. Choose Open chat. WAWin checks that the number is on WhatsApp and opens the chat.

Nothing is sent until you send a message yourself. Chat by number works without signing in to WAWin and does not create a customer record. If the number is reported as not registered on WhatsApp, check the country code.
