How to add it on each platform

HTML site

Paste the code just before </body> on every page. If your pages share a footer file, pasting it there once is enough.

WordPress

The simplest way is the free WPCode plugin: install it from Plugins > Add Plugin, open Code Snippets > Header & Footer, paste the code into the footer box and click Save Changes. With Elementor Pro, use Elementor > Custom Code, at the end of <body>, with the Entire Site condition. On WordPress.com, adding code needs a paid plan.

Wix

In Settings > Development & integrations > Custom Code, click + Add Custom Code, paste the code, choose All pages and Body – end, and click Apply. Wix only runs custom code on published sites with a connected domain, which needs a Premium plan.

Shopify

In Online Store > Themes, open the theme's … menu and choose Edit code. Open layout/theme.liquid, paste the code just before </body> and click Save. A paid theme can only be edited after you buy it, and updating the theme removes the change.

Squarespace

Open the Code Injection panel, paste the code into Footer and click Save. It's available on the Core, Plus and Advanced plans and doesn't apply to checkout pages.

Hostinger

Hostinger's website builder has its own button: go to More (⋯) > Integrations, fill in the WhatsApp field with the number (digits only, with the country code) and a message, save and update the site.

Google Sites

A floating button isn't possible: Google Sites has no place for code on every page, and embedded code stays inside the block where you put it. Click “Copy link” below and put the link on a button or text on the page. The link carries your number and message; only the website code can add the visitor's page.

Check that it works

Open the published page, not the editor, on a phone and a computer. Click the button, check the number and message, and make sure it doesn't cover a cookie notice or another button.

A few things you might wonder.

Is it free? Is there a watermark?

It's free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Your number and message stay in your browser and never reach WAWin.

Does the code slow my site down or collect visitor data?

No. It sets no cookies, sends visitor data nowhere and loads no outside files, apart from a logo you add to the chat window. With the bubble, a short script shows it after 3 seconds and, once a visitor closes it, keeps it closed until they close the tab.

Bubble or chat window: what's the difference?

The bubble is a line beside the button that appears after 3 seconds; clicking it opens WhatsApp. The chat window works like a chat widget: it opens when the button is clicked and shows your name, logo and greeting, with a button to start the chat. Either way, the conversation itself happens in WhatsApp.

What happens when a visitor clicks?

On a phone, WhatsApp opens with the message ready and the visitor just taps send. On a computer, a WhatsApp page opens to continue in WhatsApp Web or the desktop app.

How do I change the number or color later?

Generate the button again here and replace the old code with the new one. The code doesn't depend on WAWin: the button keeps working even if this page goes away.

Do clicks show up in Google Analytics?

If your site uses Google Analytics 4 with enhanced measurement on, button clicks already show up as outbound clicks to wa.me. You don't need to change the code. A click records an attempt to open WhatsApp; it doesn't confirm that a chat opened or a message was sent.

The button covers the cookie notice or another chat on my site.

Raise the bottom margin to move the button up, or switch it to the other side.
