How do I turn on chat sync?

Chat sync saves the messages of the chats you choose to your workspace, where Owners and Admins can search and export them in Console.

  1. An Owner or Admin opens Members in Console and turns on Allow chat sync for the member.
  2. In WhatsApp Web, open the chat, open Chat sync from the WAWin menu and choose Enable chat sync.
  3. To upload files as well, choose Enable attachment sync. Files over 25 MB cannot be uploaded.

Only chats you enable are synced, and only while they are open. Only messages WhatsApp still provides can be synced, so this is not a complete WhatsApp backup. Syncing new chats requires Pro or Team; saved history stays available after a downgrade.
